COVID-19 Updates: Office Reopening 5/4/2020

We will gradually return to our former schedule on May 4, 2020. That being said, there will be some new protocols and precautions that will be in place to protect our patients, our staff and our doctor.
We are planning to schedule our appointments so that we do not have too many patients in our office at one time. We will schedule all appointments, including those for glasses pick up, or who are in need of adjustments and repairs. We will continue to direct ship as many contact lens orders as possible.
The day before your scheduled appointment, we will call you to take your pre-exam history. At that time, we will also request that you email or fax your insurance cards (front and back) and photo id to us. Our email address is email@example.com. We encourage you wear or bring your own face covering.
The day of your exam, we ask that you call us from the parking lot when you arrive so that entrance to and movement through our office can be coordinated by our staff. We will take your temperature as you enter the office. Any temperature over 100 degrees will be rescheduled. We will be seeing patients only (no additional family members or friends will be permitted in the office). The exception to this is for minors and mandatory caretakers.
In order to help with social distancing, the Optomap retinal imaging is highly recommended and therefore, the fee has been reduced to $30.
We will use special care to disinfect anything that you might come in contact with and will be sterilizing our frames as they are tried on. While picking out new frames, patients will be required to work with an optician at all times.
